I have been running since I was in high school and have always loved being outdoors. I grew up in Minnesota and spent a lot of time on the Superior Hiking Trail. It shaped my love for the outdoors and trails. In college, I studied Exercise Science, because it was fascinating to learn about how exercise impacts our bodies and how we can manipulate training principles for physiological adaptions. I continued this path of education, and received a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, and a PhD in Nutrition & Exercise Science.
I absolutely love sharing what I know about Ex. Phys & Nutrition with athletes to help them best achieve their goals. Coaching is something I enjoy and really have a passion for.
You are stronger than you think.

My background is very rooted in the current scientific literature on exercise training principles. I also take an individual approach, because no two people are alike. I don’t use a generic training plan or template. Instead, I like to get to know each athlete on an individual basis to create the ideal training environment for each person. I do this by frequent communication, usually in the form of weekly emails or phone calls. Good communication is key for success.
