I love running because it’s a fun way to stay active, get outside, and socialize with friends at the same time. I have been in the running community for a long time, and enjoy helping fellow runners set meaningful goals and stay accountable. I have a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Level I certification, as well as an American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid certification. I am a coach with Team RunRun and a pacer with Beast Pacing. I am constantly educating myself about distance running, whether I’m reading, listening to a podcast, attending a seminar or a wellness retreat, spectating friends at races, or of course, running!
\\\'Tis better to have run and walked than never to have run at all.

My philosophy is centered around consistency, injury prevention, incremental progress, and most importantly, having fun! I believe in challenging ourselves without getting too hung up on metrics. The advice I would give a new distance runner is: Start where you are. Own it. Take pride in your hard work and your progress, no matter how great or small. Acknowledge and express gratitude when you can. I believe in sustainable fitness. Even though our training cycles have distinct start and end dates, I believe in using race training to adopt healthy habits to keep long after race day – mindful nutrition, stress management, quality sleep, and ample rest and recovery, for which I am a huge advocate. I have used compression boots, cryotherapy, foam rolling, ice baths, kinesiology tape, percussive therapy, stretch studios, and other modern recovery techniques, and am happy to make recommendations based on my experiences. Finally, I take a holistic approach to training. I believe it is important to maintain our relationships, strategically manage our vices, and keep our important commitments outside of running to continue to live happy, healthy, balanced lives.
