What is the RED WHITE & RUCK, and what makes it so special?
Imagine if a cycling time-trial and a criterium had a baby. LOL..
Created by Memories of Honor Founder and USMC Mother Amy Cotta to offer the community a challenging yet fun competition to inspire comradery while honoring our fallen service members and their families. The RWR follows a criterium-style format with a time-trial timing system. A criterium, also known as a “crit,” is where participants complete multiple laps on a short course. RWR competitors run/ruck on foot with weighted packs or vests instead of cycling and try to complete as many laps as possible within the allotted time.
3-Hour Time Trial Ruck It’s a RUCK March Competition (Everyone must carry a min of 25 pounds on their person — in either a backpack or weighted vest). The course is closed. We will have an honorary division for those wishing to walk and ruck as many or as few laps as they like. Packs or weight is not required. Every participant will be given a bib containing the name of a fallen service member to ruck in honor and memory of.
