About Me

Why I coach — this is easy, I love to help share my passion and knowledge in endurance sports with others — to know how it’s transformed my life, is something that drives me to want to help others find the joy, plus training is often one giant puzzle — I love to solve problems. How to prepare for an event is often not straightforward — everyone is unique – different time schedules, different backgrounds – maybe new to running or returning – maybe you have a history of injury or not. I’ve dealt with so many different situations with athletes I’ve trained and my own issues, because frankly life happens. There will always be challenges to navigate – having someone by your side to help you through it can make all the difference.

I am an RRCA Certified Coach & Running Technique Specialist — my passion for running came later in life. I found running in my late 30’s — trying to find a fitness outlet I had no idea it would become a complete life changing experience for me. I was not athletic as a child, never participated in any formal sports teams or training, so it’s been a great endeavor entering into endurance sports through running. I’ve completed over 100 races – mostly road running, but more recently including trail running. I’ve run distances from 5K to 50K.
In 2020, I began a new journey in my athletic pursuit to become a triathlete. Since then I have complete a number of short distance triathlons, as well as an IRONMAN 70.3 race and attempted to complete my first full distance IRONMAN in 2022 in Alaska.
I am extremely passionate about endurance sports because simply put it’s light a fire in me for life itself — to compete with oneself, to always grow and learn, to enjoy the beauty all around. It takes a wealth of knowledge to do all of the sports especially as we age.
In my professional career, I work for The IRONMAN Group with direct oversight of all digital platforms for IRONMAN and our related brands. This gives me a unique insight into the athlete experience both as an athlete and coach that I believe benefits my athletes as well. It’s been really awesome to marry my expertise in Digital User Experience with my personal passions in Endurance sports — this is for sure why I ventured into triathlon.

I don't run because I love the feeling of running. I run because it makes me love the feeling of living.

My Coaching Style / Methodology

My coaching style is collaborative — I seek to understand as much as I can about your goals and your background in order to create the best possible plan, but it’s important to note that planning is fluid — the biggest benefit to working with an engaged coach is that as life happens, your training plan needs to adapt — it’s not about creating a one and done plan. I like to stay in touch with my athletes on a regular basis so I can adapt plans as needed.
