I’m an Indigenous runner and certified RRCA run coach in Oklahoma. After enduring several surgeries, 2 rounds of menopause, and eventually a full hysterectomy caused by Endometriosis, I searched for younger menopausal endurance athletes like me. Unable to find anyone in a similar situation, I had to make my own way back to faster paces and longer distances in a new body without hormones. Running has been my therapy.
My running journey began in 2009 and most if it was self-coached. I’ve competed in races of all distances up to the marathon. I did not begin finding real success in decreasing my times or running strong until I learned how to run smarter, not harder. That has been the key not only to my own running and racing successes but also of my clients.
It's not about what you *can* do, it's about what you're *willing* to do.
~ Me
My focus is on Masters + Menopausal athletes, however, I enjoy connecting with runners of all abilities and showing them that they can also reach their own goals, regardless of any obstacles they may be facing. I lead by example, my approach is holistic and human-centered. I aim to teach my athletes how to show themselves grace while enjoying the process of running faster, stronger, and injury-free so that they may enjoy the sport for decades to come.
My coaching roster is full of a diverse blend of amazing humans who love challenging themselves, but also use running as a vehicle for advocacy. Their ‘why’ is often bigger than time or distance goals.
Aside from teaching athletes how to train smarter instead of harder through the VDOT system, I am a certified Chi Running + Walking Instructor. Chi Running has helped thousands of runners improve their running form – reducing and preventing injuries while decreasing recovery time. Runners of all ages and levels have improved their efficiency and performance, and now find their running to be pain-free, easier, and more enjoyable. I offer both 1-on-1 and group workshops that will help you learn to run with the proper form.
