About Me

Hi Trail Sisters! I am a cross between a car mechanic for a human and a detective… otherwise known as a PT. I am a doctor of physical therapy & board certified orthopedic clinical specialist, and I am more than 2 decades into efforts with keeping happy and healthy runners on the trails without injuries. I am a former academic and biomechanical researcher, who now focuses clinically as the founder of Boulder Physiolab. I am an active resource for the running, climbing & outdoor community, and you’ll often see me out and about giving educational talks on running topics- my very favorite of which is the Trail Sisters Retreat! You’ll also spot me as a topic expert in Runner’s World, Outside Magazine, SELF, Run | Powered by Outside, Huff Post, and more.

"Glute exercises are the best!"

About My Business

What do I treat? Pretty much everything… and I use my 25+ years of experience and clinical expertise to diagnose and treat the root of the issue, instead of bandaid’ing the symptoms. I utilize a blend of evidence-based medicine, biomechanical analysis, manual physical therapy (hands-on treatment), neuromuscular re-education, and functional training to help each human that I work with maintain a healthy and pain-free lifestyle. I focus on the biopsychosocial puzzle that rounds out the complete approach to keeping humans up and running (literally)!
