About Me

Rachel has 20 years of personal running experience and 8 years of coaching experience. She went to Baylor University where she graduated with a degree in Exercise Physiology and became a 6 X All American in track and cross country. She has coached high school cross country and track state champions, led a NCAA Division 1 women’s cross country team to their first ever appearance at a national championship, and she has coached athletes post collegiately on the road, track, and trails. She is self coached and in her own post collegiate running career, she qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials in steeplechase, won a national title on the trails, and has been part of Team USA’s gold and bronze medal winning teams at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships. She is passionate about encouraging, inspiring, and empowering others to reach their goals.

As Wild Striders, we believe in breaking the mold. As a woman-owned and run small business, we coach differently—championing the “unicorns” of the athletic world: all-terrain athletes who dream big and dare to try it all. Whether you’re chasing the trails, tearing up the track, or blending the two, we’re here to guide you with a philosophy rooted in individuality, joy, and holistic well-being.

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to strength or fitness. Instead, we draw on our extensive backgrounds in coaching, training, and professional racing to empower each athlete to find their unique path.

Our mission is to cultivate resilience, spark joy, and create balance, ensuring that running and training enhance your life, not overwhelm it. We focus on the whole person, helping athletes thrive by integrating fitness with work-life harmony, so running becomes a source of strength and fulfillment, not stress.

When you join Wild Strides, you can expect:
-An individualized training plan unique to you and your dreams/goals including weekly with running, crosstraining, core work, mobility, and strength.
-Help with planning races throughout the year on any surface/discipline
-Access to your coach through calls, texts, and email to receive individualized feedback on your training/racing and to talk through race strategy.
-Team video calls with all coaches and Wild Stride athletes for Q&A and to create community, offer tips, and give guidance.
-An annual Training Log + Planner, plus other gifts and discounts from Wild Strides Paper Co.
