The Burton Creek Trail Run winds through one of the most beautiful and dynamic trail systems in North Lake Tahoe, showcasing pine forests, high Sierra meadows, and miles of flowing singletrack within Burton Creek State Park. Nestled near Tahoe City, this course follows the natural contours of the Mt. Watson watershed as Burton Creek makes its way toward Lake Tahoe.
Runners can choose from the 6K, 12K, or Half Marathon—each offering its own blend of challenge and scenery. Known for its terrain, views, and trail quality, the Burton Creek Half Marathon is considered one of the very best in the Tahoe region. Lace up and join the adventure!
The event is owned and operated by Big Blue Adventure, which organizes several endurance events in the Tahoe area.
