I coach to share the love and journey of running with others, and to help them achieve their goals and dreams. Running is a very personal endeavor that holds a unique meaning in every runner’s life. I started coaching in 2013 and in 2017, Ian Torrence and myself launched Sundog Running.
I began running in middle school and am a three-time high school state champion in cross country and track. I went on to be a three-time All American at the University of Virginia in cross country and track. After college graduation, I joined adidas-McMillanElite in Flagstaff and ran a marathon PR, 2:32:55, at the 2011 Twin Cities Marathon. I’ve since competed in two U.S. Olympic Team Marathon Trials.
In 2012, I entered my first ultramarathon and placed second in the prestigious JFK 50 Mile (6:17) – I’ve since won the race twice. I held the course record at Moab’s Red Hot 55K (4:24). I’ve participated as a USA Team member at the 2014 and 2018 100K World Teams, and placed 7th female (26th overall) at the 2013 Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run. At one time, I held the second fastest North American road 50K time of 3:15 and followed that up with a 50k World Championship win in Qatar in 2014. Most recently, she won the 2021 Bel Monte 50 Mile (VA) outright.
An individualized approach! I coach all backgrounds, surfaces, and distances so ensuring the training is designed for the individual athlete is a must. My ultimate goal is for you to arrive to your goal healthy and excited to be there.
