Hi! I’m Dr. Karen (she/her) and I am the owner, acupuncturist and chief-of-just-about-everything here at Karuna Acupuncture. I am a licensed acupuncturist with both Masters and Doctorate degrees in acupuncture. I have been in practice for over a decade. I also practice Maya abdominal therapy,
I specialize in reproductive health, fertility and mental health. As a Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM) I have advanced training in optimizing fertility, integrating acupuncture with IUI/IVF, addressing conditions like endometriosis and PCOS, providing holistic prenatal and postpartum care, as well as in helping you navigate peri/menopause with ease. As a former social worker I love using acupuncture to address anxiety, depression and other trauma responses.
When I am not in the clinic you’ll find me out running, hiking, biking, and soaking up all the Colorado goodness.
I address things like hormone imbalances that affect mood, menstrual cycles, pain, PMS and fertility so you can focus on running your best. During perimenopause and menopause our performance and needs as athletes change. I support optimal hormone balance and symptom relief so you are not bogged down by such as hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, brain fog, fatigue, weight changes and mood changes.
