Our Mission is to increase women’s participation and opportunity in trail running and hiking through inspiration, education and empowerment.
Get your ultramarathon and trail running season started at the Bluegrass Ultra! Held entirely on the private trails of the Hutton-Loyd Tree Farm in Wallingford, Kentucky, the event offers three distances – 50K-25K-10K – for ultra and trail runners of all abilities.
The Hutton-Loyd Tree Farm is nestled in a beautiful and picturesque Appalachian valley featuring miles of trails in the surrounding foothills, a scenic private lake, and a big old barn to serve as our race headquarters! The Start/Finish line is crew and spectator friendly with a blazing bonfire, shelter in the barn, and free parking is just a few feet away.
The racecourse consists of a single 5.5-mile loop on singletrack and doubletrack dirt trails with several sections of gravel road. Enjoy fast valleys, fun ridges, and a few steeper climbs and descents, all while taking in the surprisingly beautiful views of the surrounding valley and foothills!
In addition to finisher medals, all registrations include an awesome custom tee shirt, swag, and special offers from our partners! Professional photographers will be photographing before, during, and after the event and all images will be available for free download and personal use!
