
10K • 20K • 30K | One Loop, Multiple Distances
The Cape Cod Trail Race is a 100% trail race designed to welcome runners of many backgrounds, paces, and experience levels—whether it’s your first trail race or your fiftieth.
All distances are run on a single 10K loop, completed:
1 loop for the 10K
2 loops for the 20K
3 loops for the 30K
Due to the nature of trail running, all distances are approximate, and last-minute route or distance changes may occur because of weather, trail conditions, or land-use considerations.
Course Overview
100% trails – no roads
A mix of open fields and single-track
The first and last ~2 miles of the loop are run through open fields and are generally fast (for trails)
The middle ~2 miles feature more single-track with rolling hills, winding turns, and some technical sections—challenging but approachable
This is a trail course that rewards focus and adaptability, without being overly extreme or intimidating.
Shared Trail Environment
This is not a closed course. Runners may encounter:
Hikers
Cyclists
Horseback riders
Please be courteous, yield when appropriate, and help keep these trails safe and welcoming for everyone.
Aid Stations & Support
There are three aid stations per loop:
Start / Finish
Approximately mile 1.75
Approximately mile 4.5
Aid stations will include:
Water
Electrolyte drink
Limited food at the start/finish area (such as fruit, cookies, and candy)
Cutoff Time (30K)
5-hour cutoff (finish by 1:00 PM)
Runners must begin their final loop by 11:00 AM
