NEW RACE FOR 2024!
We couldn’t be more stoked about branching out our race series into the incredible area that makes up Larrabee State Park. You will get to enjoy smooth trails that wind through beautiful, lush green forests and bring you past picturesque lakes. The unique geology of Larrabee means you’ll also get great views from atop narrow ridgelines that have been bent and molded by time.
Finishers will also be awarded a unique, handcrafted race award by our very own Porter Bratten. You’ll want to race just for this!
Race Notes:
While all of the courses for each distance overlap, they will split off of each other and come back together at different points. So make sure you pay attention to the course markings and follow signs for your correct distance.
All distances will start and finish at Fairhaven Park and start towards Larrabee State Park on the Interurban Trail. The 12k does a short lollipop, climbing to the ridge and back down to the start-finish. The 25k continues along towards Lost Lake before a short climb to Ridge Aid Station and a fast, fun descent back to the Interurban Trail and the Finish Line. The 50k gets all the fun climbing and, after the first moderate climb, descends all the way to the Samish Aid Station before climbing back up to loop around Cedar Lake and Lost Lake before heading down to the Lost Lake Aid Station. After refueling, the 50k course races along the Interurban Trail again, then up Cleator Road, Two Dollar Trail, and past the magnificent Fragrance Lake. Then, a steep, but short climb to the Ridge Trail before the 50k runners will finally get to enjoy the fast, fun descent back down the ridge and to the finish line.
The trails will be open to other users during the event, including equestrians, pedestrians and cyclists. See our FAQ page for more information about sharing the trails.
The course features rough, steep, and rocky sections. Be careful when you proceed. Please read our section on the FAQ page regarding safety – it talks about what to do if you get lost or hurt.
