Truly an Oregon and ultrarunning classic, the Mt. Hood Trail Runs is a favorite summer weekend for many. The decades old 50-miler is almost entirely on the Pacific Crest Trail. It heads north from the start, and then returns back, passing Timothy Lake. The course then goes south, onto the Warm Springs Reservation and then returns back to the start/finish area.
The 50K course follows the same route north on the PCT as the 50-miler but on the return it loops around Timothy Lake.
The 25K doesn’t run on the PCT and instead takes runners on the trails around Clackamas and Timothy Lake. There is no cutoff time for the 25K.
