Our Mission is to increase women’s participation and opportunity in trail running and hiking through inspiration, education and empowerment.
The event will take place in the Daley Ranch area, with the Start/Finish line at the Dixon Lake Picnic Area for both distances. The 50K event will consist of a 15.6 mile loop that will be repeated twice, with a grand total of 6,318 feet of gain (1,926m).
For half marathon runners, the loop will be 13.1 miles with 2,706 feet (825m) of gain.
There will be three full stocked aid stations available on this course.
50k Event:
(Two Visits) La Honda Aid Station @ 5.4 & 21 miles
(Two Visits) Lilac Hill Aid station @ 10 & 25.7 miles
(Two Visits) Start Finish (Dixon Lake aid station @ 15.5 & 31.1 Miles.
There are two cut-off times for this event, 5 hours for the first loop, 10 hours on the second loop.
Half Marathon Event:
La Honda Aid Station @ 4.75 miles
Lilac Hill Aid station @ 9.5 miles
Start Finish (Dixon Lake aid station) @ 13.1 miles
9.5 Hour Cut-off for this event.
Permit will be held by the City of Escondido and can be revoked at anytime. If this happens we will work with runners to find a solution for you (free entry into the following year’s event, transfer to another SWTR race, refund (if funds are not previously allocated)).
