The Dark Sky 220 is a single-loop trail race covering 220 miles of northern Pennsylvania Forests, villages, and State Parks. It’s a journey through time and the beauty of Penn’s Woods and Wilds. At night, you’ll see why this place is on the International Dark Sky Registry. With almost 40,000’ of elevation gain, technical trails, and more stream crossings than you can count, this course will challenge you to the core. Dark Sky has been designed to highlight some of the best terrain on the Beast Coast, and we are excited to share it with the ultra-running world!
The Cherry Springs 110 is a point-to-point trail race situated on the second half of the Dark Sky 220 course. It is 110 miles of Pennsylvania’s toughest trails, including sections of the Black Forest and Mid-State Trails. Named in homage to Cherry Springs and its place on the International Dark Sky Registry. With 20,000’+ of elevation gain, this race will test your climbing (and descent) skills. A generous 48-hour cutoff provides the opportunity for a true multi-day experience. Whether a first 100 or first race in PA, this is an opportunity to explore new trails and create memories to last a lifetime.
