Hi, I’m Tami. I’m a run coach, fitness trainer, trail runner, wife, and mom of three. I’m also an avid animal rescue volunteer and contributor. I started Fly Free Run and Wellness to help people find strength through movement.
My running journey started in 2016 after being diagnosed with Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia and Interstitial Cystitis. Instead of letting chronic pain define me, I turned to movement. Running became my outlet and a way to prove to myself that I could still do hard things.
Over the years, I’ve worked my way up from shorter distances to long trail miles, including training for 100 mile races. The trails are where I feel most at home and where I’ve built a lot of my strength and resilience.
My journey hasn’t been perfect, and my body has needed time, patience, and a lot of learning along the way. But that’s also what shaped who I am today.

My coaching is built around helping you get stronger without burning out.
I focus on building an aerobic base, gently increasing speed, staying consistent, and adding strength to support your running. Your plan should fit your life and your body, not control it. Run and walk is always ok, and hiking counts!
I work with all levels, but I especially love helping beginners and those with chronic health conditions. Training should adjust with your body, not fight against it. I focus on building you up in a way that fits you, safely and with the most benefit.
I am a Certified Run Coach and Certified Trail Running Coach, and I am currently working toward my certification in Sylvotherapy (Shinrin-yoku aka Forest Therapy).
