Our Mission is to increase women’s participation and opportunity in trail running and hiking through inspiration, education and empowerment.
Bear and Red are two beautiful mountains just behind the heart of Mission, BC on the traditional territory of the St√≥:l≈ç Nation, known as S’√≥lh T√©m√©xw.
These mountains feature perfectly designed single-track trails and offer stunning views of the lush forests and surrounding mountain ranges.
This race includes various options! Please see below for general information:
1. Friday Youth Race: New for 2020, we are offering a 5km Youth race with 2 age groups: U16 and U18. Designed to bring out those 18 and under, who are looking to give trail a try and get the same awesome single track, great climb from the start, and fun flowy descents on our clearly marked trails without going the full distance quite yet.
2. Saturday Main Race with 3 distance options: 21 km, 12 km, and 8 km and new for 2020 a 2 person relay category for the 21km race. The relay will include the Bear Mountain 12km route for the starting runner and the Red mountain route for the second runner.
3. Free Saturday kids race: As with all of our events, we also offer a free kids race on Saturday for the young runners, not quite ready for the Friday night youth run. The kids race starts on Saturday morning following the other distances. This is a fun run from 1-1.5 km on the trails and a great chance to bring the whole family and get involved! Pre-registration is not required.
