Gina has always been stubborn and bold, so when it came to advocating for women’s rights and equality in the outdoors, she was bound to make some changes. As the founder of Trail Sisters, Gina’s goal is to help create opportunities and grow participation in women’s trail running. Gina is also a professional ultra trail runner, and when she’s not on the trails logging miles, she’s most likely trying to potty train her new Airedale pup, Ezra.

As a big believer in actions over words, I decided that an online journal wasn’t enough to help spread the inspiration and education about women’s trail running. It’s a great start, and something more than there was before, but I knew I could do more…

New (and fantastic) running-focused website Motiv Running , caught wind of what Trail Sisters was up to and reached out for an interview. Additionally, we were able to meet up and give them a tour of our new “home,” Ramona the Ram van.
