Gina has always been stubborn and bold, so when it came to advocating for women’s rights and equality in the outdoors, she was bound to make changes. As the founder of Trail Sisters, Gina’s goal is to grow participation and opportunity in women’s trail running. Gina is also Mayor Pro Tem for the town of Buena Vista, Colorado, an active member and former Training Director of Chaffee County Search & Rescue, and Race Director for the Lake Sonoma 50 Mile, Marathon, and Trail Sisters Half Marathon.

I’m excited to announce and celebrate 18 extraordinary women who make up our Ask the Trail Sisters panel of experts. These kick-butt women will be answering inquires from community members, providing their best suggestions, tips, and advice. 

As we know, education is one of the main keys to success. I’m personally so thankful that these 18 women came on board to share their knowledge in an effort to help educate and empower members of our community. The more we can do to support each other, the better, stronger, and further we all get. Success is inevitable for all parties involved.

  1. Any amputees on here? I had a lower leg amputation almost 2 years ago. I am a long distance mountain runner and just relearned how to walk. (Doctors said I never would again but what do they know ????) Looking to see if I can find any other women struggling to get back to themselves again. Positivity has helped me greatly, I will run again! Love that I stumbled on this page ????
