The Candidate

As many of you know, Gina Lucrezi started Trail Sisters with a mission to uplift women in the sport of trail running. After realizing the impact of her efforts in the running community, Gina was motivated to bring that same effort and care to her local community of Buena Vista, CO.

This past January Gina started a new journey in an effort to become Chaffee County Colorado’s next District 1 County Commissioner.  Matt Trappe of Auteur Sportif was able to come along for the ride, capturing this year’s adventure and telling the story of how it came to be.

From Sea to Sedona – Canyons 125: Answering the Call of the Horizon

“Beginning of the 2024 Cocodona 250…….. Let’s Go!” Corinne Shalvoy’s voice rang out on the livestream as runners surged over the start line, their headlamps slicing through the predawn haze in Black Canyon City. I was watching live from a world away, steaming through the Caribbean Sea aboard a Coast Guard cutter, on a mission to deter illegal migration and drug trafficking before it reached America’s shores.

How to Plan a Thru-Hike in Under a Month

Planning a thru-hike in a month or less is a gargantuan task, but it can be done. It requires attention to detail, focus, and also a willingness to let some things ride. It helps if you have done a long-distance hike prior. Familiarity with the trail you intend to hike can really help as well. If you’re crunched for time and think you have what it takes to pull off the planning here’s how to do it!
