I am a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I earned my BS in Biology and my MS and PhD degrees in Nutrition Science from North Carolina State University. I have been teaching nutrition and lactation courses at NC State for 15 years, including sports nutrition, introductory nutrition, public health nutrition, and maternal and infant nutrition. I am also a road and trail runner, and I bring a personal understanding of endurance training, fueling, and performance nutrition to my work. I own my private practice, Nutrition and Lactation Support, LLC, and see a few patients each week so I can focus carefully on each patient as well as my students at NC State.
“The miracle isn’t that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start.”
~ John Bingham
I have a BS in Biology, and an MS and PhD in Nutrition Science. I am a RD/RDN and an IBCLC. I like to spend time with my patients getting to know them and learning about their goals and the barriers they have to reaching those goals and the support systems they have in place. I like to meet patients where they are and help them either take baby steps in their nutrition journey, or hit the ground running. I whole heartedly believe that adequate fueling can make running so much more fun.
