Natural Bridge Caverns Trail Run

It’s the only Race in the World that starts in a Cave’s belly. Enter Texas’s largest Caverns and descend down to Pluto’s anteroom. Experience the exhilarating adventure of a half marathon trail run, 10K and 5K, that commences from within the breathtaking depths of the Natural Bridge Caverns. Embark on a thrilling journey through the heart of nature’s subterranean wonder, where the earth’s hidden treasures provide a unique backdrop to your 13.1-10k and 5k race. Discover the awe-inspiring beauty of underground chambers, crystal formations, and majestic rock formations as you make your way through this unforgettable trail run.

Start one at a time every 8-15 seconds and run through wonderful, awesome spectacles of this underground beauty.

RACE START TIME HALF MARATHON 7:00 AM

The event features a 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon that runs on the private property of Natural Bridge Caverns.

The 5k course is mainly on jeep trails that make 1 loop and finish in the NBC Village.

The 10k is an out and back with one nice hill that merges onto the 5k course and finishes in the NBC Village.

The Half Marathon covers every type of terrain, and the beauty of the Hill Country is stunning.

Timeline:

5:30 am – 6:30 am packet pickup Half Marathon 

5:30am – 7:00am packet pickup 5k & 10K 

6:40 am – Half Marathon pre-race meeting 

6:50 am – Half Marathon heads to the Cave

7:00 am – Half Marathon starts 

7:10am – 10k & 5k pre-race meeting 

7:20 am – 10k & 5k heads into Cave 

7:30am -8:15am 10k & 5k starts 

9:00am – 9:20am   Awards for 5k & 10k 

10:00 am -10:30 am Awards for Half Marathon

Packet Pickup on Race Day – You may pick up your packet but cannot stay in the Main Building; please return to your car and wait till your pre-race meeting starts. Please make sure you attend the mandatory pre-race meeting and be on time, right after the meeting, we will line up folks for the start.

Saturday, 2-3-2024 – Natural Bridge Caverns 1-4 pm

Sunday, 2-4-2023 – Race Day – Natural Bridge Caverns ( Half 5:30am – 6:30 am – 5k & 10k 5:30am – 7:30am )

Refund Policy:

If a refund is requested 14 or more days before the event, 1/2 of the race fee ( No processing fees ) will be refunded. NO REFUNDS or TRANSFERS to other events will be allowed. Refund Policy will be in effect if In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state, or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined
