I’ve always been a runner, but my love for running blossomed when I found the half marathon distance. After a few years of physical downtime, I made the lofty goal at the time that I was going to run 13.1 miles. The dedication that it took to get to a place where I could finish that distance and then achieving the goal was so satisfying and dare I say it… addicting! I soon found out that people ran on trails… and that they ran ultra distances. Game over, I was sold for life! I became a coach because in the journey of discovering I could do hard things and achieve running goals that I had thought to be impossible seeped into the every day. Suddenly I felt more empowered to live a life of freedom by my rules. Running gave me the confidence to set out for vanlife alone, it gave me the confidence to quit my 9-5 and start my own business. Being a coach not only allows me to share the joys of running and achieving running goals, but it allows me to share the gift that running gives you outside of your running shoes. If I can inspire someone to live a life that they love through the practice of running, I’ve done my job!
