About Me

I truly believe anyone can be an athlete and anyone can achieve their goals if they put in the right work. In my opinion, building up a strong aerobic and physical fitness base and training with specificity are the keys to success in running. My coaching knowledge is specific to distance training up to 50K distance and my focus is on mid-to-back of the packers who want to get stronger and go longer.

My Coaching Style / Methodology

I am certified in Jack Daniel’s Formula (VDOTO2) and took my classes from the Olympian himself, Dr. Jack Daniels. A few months later I got my second coaching certification, the RRCA Level 1 coaching certification which is based on the same principles. I believe in a science based approach based on duration of effort (via HR) versus pace over distance. That being said, I am happy to provide pace ranges and estimated distance for those more comfortable with that approach.

I believe all runners should be working on getting stronger in addition to building cardio endurance and speed. I am also big on self care modalities like foam rolling, stretching, baths, and eating well to support your body and training. I am knowledgeable in strength training and nutrition and happy to provide some guidance, but am not certified in these areas.

I will challenge and push you to new levels, but I also believe training should fit your lifestyle.You will always get an honest perspective from me, but you are firmly in the driver seat of your journey. That being said, you should be prepared to put in the work and get your butt out the door every day. I’m here if you need some extra support on any given day, but I’m not your parent and I don’t do daily workout reminders and checkins.
