I’m a lifelong athlete who loves an adventure. Coaching has been my passion since college where I earned my Exercise Science Degree. Combining my knowledge of running along with strength and conditioning I believe that every athlete should be given access to the tools that the pros use.
When I’m not coaching I can be found on the trails in the mountains, hanging out with my husband and kids or scheming up a new adventure to take with my friends.
Sacrifice. It’s something a lot of people talk about when they refer to making time for exercise. If I take an hour here or there then what am I giving up in its place? Workouts are like deposits into your bank account. Over time they build up and make your life more valuable. Start saving now – you never know what your fitness account will be like until you take that first step.
I’m a big believer that every runner I coach has more to show for themselves then simply workout statistics. Numbers are important, but so is their general well-being and rate of perceived exertion. I look at the athlete as a whole and try to make running one of the most enjoyable parts of their day. Sure there are hard workouts and struggles to face, but running should be a lifelong sport. It’s not just that half marathon or ultra that they are currently training for.
