I am an avid trail and ultra endurance runner with an affinity for mountain adventures. I believe that movement is empowerment; that is what running has taught me. I have a BS in Exercise Science, am a NSCA certified personal trainer and UESCA certified ultrarunning coach. As a coach, I will support your crazy; your wild ambitions and goals. I’ll use my education and experience to help you accomplish that big adventure or cross that finish line healthy, fit, and prepared.
My Coaching Style / Methodology
My most important coaching values are connection, physiology, and specificity. Connection because I care about you as a person. We are more than just runners, and I will take the time to get to know who you are outside of running. Physiology is important to me because it drives my programming for runners. Each workout and block of training has a specific adaptation goal. I develop your programming with race specific adaptions in mind. Specificity is a key component of my coaching because you need your training tailored to you; your schedule, weaknesses, strengths, race demands, and lifestyle. These three values drive and inform my coaching. As a certified personal trainer, I am able to provide strength training as a compliment to run programming. Often times strength and mobility work can be a key aspect to reducing the likelihood of injuries, rehabbing nagging pains, and keeping you healthy. I have experience helping runners return to sport and reducing major pains.
