About Me

Hey, Hi, Hello! I’m Kristen. I am a UESCA-certified trail running coach, an elite trail runner, a writer, and a Masters student studying Sport Psychology and Performance from the University of Western States.

I provide athletes with science-based, individualized training plans that feature a human-first approach to empower, educate, and help them excel as whole people.

My purpose is to help athletes rewrite their stories of potential. My job is to empower them to have a greater sense of meaning, connection, and joy throughout the process while providing a safe space to pursue their wildest goals and watch themselves emerge on the other side.

I’ve been running competitively for the last 23 years, am an elite trail runner myself, and love nerding out on training philosophy and mental performance!

The great ones adjust.

My Coaching Style / Methodology

My coaching style is holistic and hands-on. I like knowing who my athletes are both inside and outside of running. Athletes train at low intensities 80-90% of the time to target aerobic growth and boost physiological responses and adaptations. I believe that great coaches see the human before they see the athlete. I see performance and personal excellence as intertwined, not separate. As a run coach and mental performance consultant-in-training, I am just as invested in building an athlete’s mental resilience as I am in enhancing their physical endurance.
