About Me

I have been running all my life, my first race was with my dad, a kids fun run at age 6. I was hooked! There was something I loved about the feeling of moving and exploring on my own two legs. I played other spots, soccer mostly, but my love was always track and field and trail running.
I am a coach because I love to share my enthusiasm for running with others. I find that I mainly coach women, and because women have been underrepresented in the trail community, I love introducing women to our sport, and am so glad it is changing! Some of my most fulfilling aspects of being a coach is when (older) women run their first ultra, or first 100 and shock themselves…and take that knowledge that they can do anything into other aspects of their lives.

My Coaching Style / Methodology

I work for, and with my athletes. I believe there is no one perfect way to coach an athlete, there are many nuanced ways to get fit and I try to find the way that works best for each athlete to reach their personal goals. Communication, authenticity, fun and flexibility are important to how I coach.
I also believe that you do not need a goal race to use a coach, there are lots of ways we can be helpful with out athletes needing to race.
