Back for 2024!
A new race at Snoqualmie Pass! This race, known as the Brown Bear Salmon Run, features an amazing course up, down, and around the Snoqualmie Pass area for 15 kilometers.
In 2024, we will be hosting this race for the second time in partnership with Brown Bear Car Wash. The size of the race will still be limited due to permit limitations, but we get to increase numbers!! We hope to continue to expand the size of the race in 2025.
Snoqualmie Pass needs no introduction! Well known as a ski area in the winter and a mountain bike park in the summer, this will be the first trail run to be held at Snoqualmie Pass (that we are aware of!). The course will feature a fun selection of trails and Forest Service/Ski Area Access roads. For the final stretch of the course you’ll be exposed to stunning views of the expansive scenery around the pass.
Course Notes:
There is one distance offered for this race: 15 kilometers. The trails are a little more technical, so we don’t recommend minimalist shoes.
Please note that the trails will be open to other users during the event, including pedestrians and cyclists on some stretches. See our FAQ page for more information about sharing the trails. In particular, the course passes along a small sections of the Snoqualmie Bike Park. Course monitors will be in all locations where we interface with bike trails to ensure there’s no interference. There will be a water drop and an aid station in the race, and the course is well-marked with signs at intersections. As always, there will be a good selection of grub at the finish to replenish you after your hard work.
This is a cupless race! All runners please carry a refillable container that you can run with for refilling at aid stations. There will be a limited number of cups for emergency situations.
