Our women’s only retreats are hosted in Boulder, Colorado and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Each retreat offers 22 participant spots, welcoming all women of all abilities! You can expect no-drop adventures with various pace accommodating groups. Whether you want to run or prefer to hike, you will be in good company!

Off the trails we offer a variety of workshops, activities, and the opportunity to experience the vibrant downtowns of Boulder and Chattanooga! Our educational workshops help to equip, prepare, and enhance your trail journey; and our activities provide fun confidence-building experiences. During your free time, it’s only a short walk to downtown for shopping, sight-seeing, or indulging in delicious food and drinks!

All meals are included in your retreat package, except breakfast. You will have the option to purchase breakfast at the hotel or can bring it with you. Meals include a mix of amazing catering, boxed lunches and dinner downtown. We do our absolute best to accommodate all diets and allergies.

We can’t forget to mention the TS swag bags! All participants will receive a pair of HOKA shoes and a variety of other goodies. Since education is a key foundation in the Trail Sisters mission, we feel it is important to introduce you to different products for the chance to experience their benefits on the trail. Testing something new may be the key to bettering your adventure!

Lastly and most importantly, Run with Her Retreats are intended to foster camaraderie and forge life-long friendships. Having a chance to meet and learn from one another strengthens our own comprehension and understanding, and also gives us the ability to guide and teach. Plus, there isn’t anything more valuable than authentic personal connections.

Testimonials

The Trails

Each day we host one organized adventure. All of the adventures are no-drop (we stop and regroup at various points along the trail), and participants organically settle into three different pace groups: mostly running, mix of run and hike, mostly hiking. Participants are never alone, and each pace group includes a leader. Our Boulder adventures are at elevation, but nothing so high that it prevents sea level participants from completing and enjoying the events. All participants are encouraged to enjoy the trails at their own preferred pace!

Friendships & Sisterhood

What might be the best part of Run with Her retreats is simply meeting like-minded women looking to have a great time in the outdoors while creating life-long friendships. F.A.Q.

Nope! This retreat is for runners of all abilities. You will have the opportunity to go shorter or longer on the runs,  and we have three guides to assist different paced groups. It is advised that you’ve been on a trail before, as 90% of this retreat will be run on trails.

Boulder is located at about 5,500ft and the highest we will climb is 8,500ft. It is hard to say how the altitude will affect any one person, since we are all different. Generally, you will want to focus on staying hydrated, and making sure you are taking in proper nutrition during activity. You’ll find that breathing can be a bit harder, but adjusting to a relaxed pace will help you feel more comfortable. One trick that may help you prepare: Train in the warmer hours of the day to increase your heart rate, thus experiencing fatigue at a quicker than normal rate. This is comparable to what it will feel like at altitude.

Yes! Happy to make sure you can enjoy our tasty meals safely.  Let us know your dietary restriction/s and any potential allergies on the participant Q&A after you sign up for the retreat.

Weather is always unpredictable in the mountains, so we advise you to include a variety of apparel. Tank, short-sleeve and long sleeve shirts, shorts and 3/4 tights, socks. Trail shoes! A hat, BUFF, sunglasses, and sunblock. Hydration system that can carry 1.5-2 liters or more of water. Your favorite snacks or energy nutrition for the adventures. A light rain or wind jacket. And one non-spandex outfit for our dinner  on Pearl Street.
