Roslyn Run the Ridge

Situated in the upper Kittitas Valley, Roslyn is in the rain shadow on the sunny side of the Cascade Mountains. It was the location for the filming of the 1990s tv hit, Northern Exposure. The ridge behind the town goes north from the center of town, gaining over 1400 feet to the crest, where Half Marathon runners will be treated to views into the Teanaway Valley. The trails have every imaginable profile with respect to the slope, some going straight up or down, and many others traversing the slope at the same level or switching back to spread out the uphills and downhills. Events on this holiday weekend offer something for everyone: a 5k, 10k and a half marathon distance. 

As part of the registration process, you will be offered the option to add an additional amount to your registration fee that will be passed along as a donation to The Nature Conservancy, which owns the Central Cascades Forest that makes up the majority of the area traversed by the courses. 100% of the donated amount will go to The Nature Conservancy.
