Trena Chellino

I am an ordinary woman, wife and mom. My faith and family are of most importance to me. I’m a trail running mom who loves to run 100 milers! I truly believe that EVERY STEP IS A BLESSING! I am 56 and a mother of three (2 grown daughters and a 20 yr old son with special needs and learning disabilities). I work part to full-time as a bookkeeper, and have been a committed Sunday School teacher in my church for over 20 years. I started running in 2012 at the age of 48, when I went from hiking to power hiking to trail running. I am also an active Trip Leader and past President for three years of the Atlanta Outdoor Club (AOC), where I lead several outdoor events a week including hiking, biking, trail running, and volunteer trail maintenance work. I’m also currently a Race Director for GUTS (Georgia Ultrarunning and Trail Running Society) along with their social media director, and am a Race Director of my own race the Great Southern Endurance Run. I have also written several articles for an online running magazine and other running-related pieces. It’s my desire to have a positive impact on the running community and especially women by sharing my journey.
