Although I ran in middle school, high school and in college, I never won a race or set a record…but I continued running because I enjoyed the physical challenge and the joy of chasing new personal goals. I now race at an elite level, and I love running more than ever. I run to the beat of my own drum and help others own their ‘weird’ as well. I believe that life is best spent playing, never wasting a single moment. (I even collect pennies on all of my runs)! I love what I do and am grateful for this opportunity every day.
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard...is what makes it great.
My Coaching Style / Methodology
As a coach, I’ve personally seen the benefits of a training style that’s kept focused yet fun and am passionate about extending this to other runners, particularly young adults. I specialize in one-on-one youth and adult coaching and form technique, create training plans from 5k to marathon distance, and provide online training support. My goals are to work on proper form to help avoid injury, inspire personal confidence, promote positive mental strategy in racing, and most of all to keep running fun! I believe in keeping training varied, challenging and playful.
